The Shure Model WL93 Microphones are economical, omnidirectional, subminiature, lavalier, condenser microphones designed for general speech applications where a visually unobtrusive microphone is desirable. All WL93 models are supplied with a mounting block with an attached tie bar, a sew-on mounting bracket, and an acoustic windscreen to minimize wind noise in outdoor applications. Additionally, all WL93 models include a cable terminated with a 4-pin mini connector, which connects directly to a Shure wireless body-pack transmitter.

The WL93 microphone is an omnidirectional, subminiature, lavalier electret condenser microphone. Its visually unobtrusive design and tailored frequency response make it ideal for body-worn applications in TV broadcasting, theater, and sound reinforcement. Both the WL93 and the SM93 feature a small microphone element that provides full, clear sound comparable to that of much larger microphones. However, high-quality sound can also be obtained when the microphone is worn in the hair, sewn into clothing, or attached to an acoustic instrument such as a guitar.
